Liquid Crystalline Polymers: Synthesis, Properties and Applications (Polymer Science)

Liquid crystalline polymers have seen significant development in the recent years due to their beneficial property profiles, which make them suitable materials for use in a wide range of applications. As a result, a large number of such systems have been developed with well defined structure-property correlations by employing advanced synthetic methodologies. It is envisaged that the ongoing research efforts in this direction would further expand the family of liquid crystalline polymers and its spectrum of applications significantly. In this respect, the book aims to provide in-depth insights into the recent developments and future outlook of a variety of commercially relevant liquid crystalline polymer systems.
The book is a valuable reference for polymer, chemical, biochemical and materials engineers, as well as practicing scientists and researchers in both academia and industry. It is also a useful resource for postgraduate university students in chemical, polymer and materials disciplines, along with interdisciplinary streams.
