About the Author

Rita Blockman is a retired social worker. Although she began her career working with older adults, she spent the majority of her career as a regional director of an international adoption agency. She lives in Champaign, IL with her husband, Arnold, who is a state court judge. They have two children. Rachel is married and is a Special Education teacher. Jonathan is engaged to be married and is a Project Manager at a Landscape company in AZ. In her spare time, Rita enjoys classical music, flower gardening, yoga and traveling. Kimberly Morin has always had an appreciation and awareness of the wisdom that emanates from those who have lived long lives. Her professional background is in social work, and she has served as a supervisor of a domestic violence shelter. Kim has two children and one grandchild. Her older daughter, Danielle, is a social worker and her younger daughter, Hannah, is working and attending college. Kim has a variety of interests including painting, drawing, jewelry design and container gardening. Kim also loves being with her dogs who are her constant companions.
