This deftly and intellectually fashioned compilation of essays is proof of the value of literary criticism. According to the author, "The critic focuses his attention on man himself as part of reality. Literary critics, with a double vision of past and present, provoke us to reflect in turn on our own times, places and people as well as the literary worlds." And so, the essays in Literary Criticism as Dream Analysis encourage us to connect these historic writings to our own modern life, and ocntemplate the realities of our world today.
