Orig. published in 1907, this is a slight later (8th) printing of that FIRST EDITION from 1917. Hardcover book has tan cloth over boards with red lettering, decorated with embossed colorful image of a knight on a horse in center. In 318 pages + 10 pages of ads for additional children's series in rear. Glossy frontispiece + 7 internal glossy illustrations by Etheldred B. Barry, one of which is completely detached. Condition is VG: generally very clean, with random smudges to both boards. Darkening to outside page edges; interior pages quite white with age-appropriate tanning to edges, heavy tanning to endpapers. Binding straight & strong, both hinges intact.
