Early hardcover without dust jacket. Cover with picture of train pasted on red cloth cover. Black lettering to picture. Mild wear noted to corners with some wear to edges and wrinkling and small wear to head and tail of spine. Pages clean and readable with nice illustrations. A few pages slightly pulling away from stitching from bottom of spine. Classic Children's fiction of the engine that could.
