Synopsis:

A beautifully illustrated craft book including 18 crafts from Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House series! Perfect for the craft-oriented Little House fan!

In her beloved Little House books, Laura Ingalls Wilder tells of her pioneer childhood growing up on the American frontier. Because their resources were limited, Laura and her family had to make most of their own household items, using whatever materials were available. Now, with The Little House Crafts Book, you can share in Laura's pioneer days by learning how to make the same things that she and her family made for their little homes on the frontier.

Inside this book are easy, step-by-step instructions for 18 crafts straight from the pages of Laura's Little House books. With just a few simple supplies, you’ll be on your way to making fun and useful pioneer crafts that you'll cherish forever.

  • Features a gorgeously illustrated full-color interior
  • Step-by-step instructions make every craft a cinch for crafters of all skill levels
  • Includes crafts like Laura’s corncob dolls, Mary’s Christmas tassels, and Ma’s embroidered pillow-sham
  • Recommended for ages 8 and up

About the Authors:

Carolyn Strom Collins and Christina Wyss Eriksson grew up reading the Little House books. Hoping to answer some of their questions about Laura and Little House, they visited every Little House site and museum and did in-depth research on Laura and her family. The result is The World of Little House. Both authors live with their families in the St. Paul-Minneapolis area of Minnesota, about a four-hour drive from where Laura lived in On the Banks of Plum Creek. In addition to writing The World of Little House, they are also the authors of My Little House Crafts Book, The Anne of Green Gables Treasury, and The Little Women Treasury.

Mary Collier has illustrated The Narnia Paper Dolls: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe collection and The Secret Garden picture book. Ms. Collier lives in Dana Point, CA.
