Synopsis:

Dr. Christophersen takes the commonsense approach that children are little people but still people. How well children are prepared for life and how much they will enjoy life has a lot to do with how they are raised. "Catch 'em Being Good" is one of Dr. Christophersen's favorite pieces of advice. The entire book, Little People, is built around guidelines that will help you to encourage your child's positive behavior. The book discusses the importance of touching to support a child's emotional development and self-esteem. Dr. Christophersen's advice also comforts parents by discussing what is normal and acceptable behavior. Dr. Christophersen emphasizes the importance of "time-in" with children. Only with enriched time-in, is "time-out" even possible.

About the Author: Dr. Christophersen is a Board Certified Clinical Psychologist. He is a Professor of Pediatrics at the Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. He is the author of a total of eight books and over 150 articles and chapters -- virtually all on the various aspects of raising happy, self-confident children. He has made over 250 appearances on television shows, including CBS's "48 Hours," CBS's "This Morning," and the NBC's "Today Show" and has been quoted in over 150 print interviews. He has presented over 350 speeches at regional and national conventions for parents, pediatricians, and psychologists.
