Little Red: Warrior Squirrel - Part 1: Return to the Trees: An uplifting story of nature, hope and one brave little squirrel

This beautifully illustrated children’s story is a heartfelt tribute to the red squirrel – bright of tail, quick of paw, and full of forest secrets.

In Part 1: Return to the Trees, we meet Little Red, a young squirrel making a quiet stand to protect her woodland home – one acorn at a time.

Once, red squirrels thrived across the British Isles – a familiar flash among the trees. Today, they face many threats: the loss of ancient woodlands, and challenges that came later.

🌿 A tale of nature, friendship and gentle courage, this first story in the Little Red: Warrior Squirrel series invites children into a world of seeds, moss, and the quiet power of something small.

Created by Marie Carter-Robb, a UK journalist and passionate conservation campaigner, the book is part of a wider effort to raise awareness – including a national petition to save red squirrels and their habitats.

With a foreword by Terry Abraham, award-winning filmmaker and storyteller of the wild – whose passion for red squirrel conservation continues to inspire.
