12mo. 96, 96 pages. A small book measuring just over 7 inches tall by 5 1/8 inches wide. Hardcover bound in original green publisher's cloth with cover designs embossed in gilt and in black. The binding is worn and bumped but sound Rubbing to the binding, especially along the spine. Rare inner hinge is starting. There is a 1938 owner's inscription on the front pastedown and an 1890 gift inscription on the second front flyleaf, "From Father to his Daughter Ruth. A birthday memento, Dec. 4/90. / Passed on to her baby girl Elizabeth M. Hall- with the hope that she will read and love the beautiful lessons here in. / Danny Munny". The text block is sound. The text has some stains and spotting. This volume contains the "First Series" and the "Second Series", each 96 pages long. Contains a number of text illustrations and a couple of full-page illustrations.

Pages Past is a small used and antiquarian bookshop holding 10,000-15,000 volumes. We are located a few blocks from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Most of our books are hardback, although we have a few bookcases of paperbacks with recent fiction and classic literature represented. We also have a fairly good collection of Eastern Philosophy & Religion (Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism) as well as New Age. Most of these are recent paperbacks in nice condition. We have a good collection of antiquarian books in the fields of Americana, old leather bound books, and early religious and scholarly books. Shop hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. We're closed on Sundays. We are always interested in buying quality books in very good condition.…
