About the Author

e.e. cummings, considered one of the most innovative contemporary poets, was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 1894. After volunteering in France during WWI, cummings decided to stay in Paris where most of his poems were written. He later returned to the United States and died in 1962 in Conway, New Hampshire.
