About the Author: Carol Young describes herself as an art teacher and artist. She has fifteen years of experience teaching creative problem solving to children in interdisciplinary programs of art, science, history, and writing. She has also worked as a writer, an editor, and as a director of children's art shows for public TV. In addition, her artwork has been displayed in numerous children's art exhibits. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Carol lives with her husband, Skip Crane, 3 dogs, 18 finches, and an operatic Parrot in Westport, Connecticut.
