Liturgy of the Reformed Churches of the Netherlands (Paperback or Softback)

Rooted in the 1944 ecclesiastical split known as the Liberation (Vrijmaking), this collection presents the official liturgical forms of the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands (Liberated). Upholding a staunch Neo-Calvinist tradition, these texts reflect the denomination's commitment to confessional orthodoxy and ecclesiastical order.

Emerging from theological and doctrinal disputes with the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands, the liturgy articulates the distinct identity and worship practices shaped under the influence of key figures like Prof. Dr. Klaas Schilder. Set against the backdrop of a turbulent period in Dutch Protestantism, this volume illuminates the spiritual, doctrinal, and communal priorities of a denomination striving to remain faithful to its theological convictions.

A vital resource for understanding the religious life and ecclesiology of the Reformed tradition in post-war Netherlands, it offers enduring insights into the relationship between doctrine, worship, and church identity.
