About the Book

In recent years, happiness has become a subject of widespread public and academic interest. Global thought leaders such as The Dalai Lama, Late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Amartya Sen, and eminent psychologists like Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, Daniel Goleman, and Martin Seligman, along with historian Darrin McMahon, have all contributed to discussions on the importance and pursuit of happiness. Despite this attention, defining and measuring individual happiness remains an elusive challenge, often described as a modern chimera.

This book offers a unique and scientifically grounded perspective by examining happiness through a biological lens. Authored by Dr. Siddhartha Ganguli, a pioneer in interdisciplinary sciences including bioengineering, psychobiology, human factors, and human resource economics, the work presents happiness as more than a philosophical or psychological concept-it is framed as the antithesis of stress.

Drawing from a lifetime of research and cross-disciplinary insights, Dr. Ganguli outlines practical and actionable strategies to cultivate happiness in both personal and professional spheres. His approach bridges science with daily life, making the pursuit of happiness both understandable and achievable.

This book is not just an academic contribution-it is a guide for readers seeking meaningful ways to reduce stress and enhance well-being in today's fast-paced world.
