We Lived The Dream

We Lived The Dream chronicles Leeds United's unforgettable and improbable journey to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League in 2000-01. A young, vibrant team consisting of a blend of academy graduates and high-profile signings, faced off against Europe's elite and came tantalizingly close to ultimate glory. Their European odyssey took in Europe's footballing cathedrals such as Barcelona’s Camp Nou, Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu, as well as conquering Lazio in Rome and securing qualification at the San Siro.

Amidst the thrilling on-pitch exploits, the team was shadowed by tragedy and controversy, with their pursuit of greatness bringing about nearly catastrophic consequences. This is the incredible tale of how David O’Leary’s Leeds United defied the odds, coming within 90 minutes of a European Cup Final rematch with Bayern Munich, 26 years after their infamous 1975 final clash.

Nearly a quarter of a century later, Leeds United's 2000-01 campaign remains one of the most remarkable underdog stories in the history of Europe’s premier competition.
