Living Apocalypse: A Revelation Reader and A Guide for the Perplexed

LIVING APOCALYPSE: A REVELATION READER AND A GUIDE FOR THE PERPLEXED

Everybody thinks about the end of the world. Various theories try to explain what might happen in the future, and many people believe that closure of some kind is inevitable. Debates among Christians along these lines are as frequent today as ever, generating questions like: Are we living in the end times? Will the world cease to exist as we know it? And if it all comes down, does it matter whose side we are on?

These thought-provoking questions are addressed in this book, which points out the dangers of making faulty predictions and highlights possibilities for living faithfully in response to the instability of our times. Shining light on the complex imagery of the Apocalypse, Gregory J. Laughery guides readers through key terms and concepts and provides them with insights, as well as invaluable broader strategies of interpretation. The careful verse by verse exposition of the biblical text is intended for anyone interested in an imaginative and perceptive study of this dynamic story.
