Living by the Highest Life (Introduction to the Deeper Christian Life)

What if the Christian life was never meant to be lived by you?

For generations, believers have struggled under the weight of performance-driven Christianity-trying harder, striving longer, and wondering why the deeper life with Christ still feels out of reach. The Highest Life offers a liberating answer.

With clarity, conviction, and warmth, this book challenges long-held assumptions about spiritual growth and invites readers into a radically different reality:

• You cannot live the Christian life.
• Christ Himself lives it.
• And He lives it in you.

What You'll Discover

- Why moral striving and religious effort ultimately fail

- The difference between soul-life and Christ's life within

- Freedom from legalism and performance-driven faith

- A deeper understanding of spiritual formation and maturity

- A renewed vision of the corporate life of the church

Written for thoughtful believers hungry for spiritual reality, The Highest Life calls readers beyond religion into rest, freedom, and a deeper experience of Christ Himself.

If you have longed for something more than outward Christianity, this book will show you where to find it.

Gene Edwards, one of the world's most beloved Christian storytellers, blazed new trails in the revelation of the mystery of Christ and His church. He authored over thirty books, translated into many languages, including his bestsellers, A Tale of Three Kings, The Divine Romance, and The Prisoner in the Third Cell. In his extensive biblical fiction are such titles as The Highest Life, The Secret to the Christian Life, The Inward Journey, the series The Chronicles of Heaven, and The First Century Diaries. During his seventy years of ministry, he traveled extensively to hold conferences and raise organic churches in the U.S. and other nations and helped them toward a deeper Christian life and experience of church as it originally was practiced in the first century.Gene went to be with his beloved Lord in December of 2022, leaving a profound literary and spiritual legacy that continues to inspire generations of believers.
