She builds complex characters with believable struggles. Happy endings don't come easily, but must be worked through with prayer, honest communication, and the willingness to step out in faith and do the right things.

This is a worthy successor to Jackson's earlier novel, A Gateway to Hope.

Living Hope is another wonderful, romantic novel, the second by this author. This well written story is not as as straightforward as it might initially seem, as 'life' happens. An author who is willing to sensitively discuss difficult but sadly all too often true life trauma in her work, is to be respected. This novel shows how bad things can and do happen to good- even Godly people. However, true to the novels namesake, it does not mean that life has to stop there, as there is always and always will be - Living Hope.

A Living Hope is a remarkable writing about love, relationship, family, friends, and despair. I easily went into the depth of each character in the novel. The story wasn't a fantasy or pie in the sky interaction among the characters. It hit me hard in the gut of my being as I read each paragraph seeking understanding with each conversation between the characters. This writing offers hope in the most dire situations within family, friends, and yes, even with the not-so-friendly. Great job, E.C. Jackson. Communicating is the key here.Jue
