Living Letters

This book celebrates mark-making, the creation of works of art in a variety of media as part of the calligraphy and lettering arts world at the beginning of the twenty-first century.And this book includes so much more than calligraphy. There are examples of traditional lettering based on historical scripts, of traditional materials such as vellum and raised gold, of experimental lettering using different alphabets, styles and tools, and also work on fabric, letters cut into wood and stone, and letters etched onto glass.
