Designed to help those that are grieving to be able to learn how to Live Life for Today and be able to move grief from darkness to light.
About the Author
Roy Fisher is a From Grief to Gratitude Certified Grief Coach and a Soldier of The Salvation Army in Biloxi, MS. He grew with his dad in the Air Force and lived in Gulfport, MS; Chicksand AFB just outside of London; Montgomery, AL; Hickham AFB in Honolulu, HI and then back to Montgomery, AL and then back to Gulfport after his parent's divorce. He graduated from Gulfport High School in 1984 and married in 1986. In 1989, he and his wife lost a son at 5.5 months and then their daughter, Bethany Lauren Fisher was born on August 5, 1990 with Down Syndrome. They moved to Montgomery, AL 1991 when Bethany was 10 months old. In 1995, Roy's dad passed away the week of Christmas and then in 2002, he lost his wife of 16.5 years. In 2003, he moved back to Gulfport and met his partner and then in 2005, they moved to Dallas, TX after Hurricane Katrina. In 2016, Roy lost his daughter on July 4th due to neglect in a Group Home and then on January 8, 2018, Robert took his life and officially passed away on January 17, 2018. After Bethany's Promotion to Glory, Roy & Robert attended GriefShare and eventually started co-facilitating GriefShare. After Robert's death, Roy moved to Biloxi, MS on May 1, 2018 and started the process of becoming a From Grief to Gratitude Certified Grief Coach to be able to bring others into the process of Living Life for Today: Moving Grief from the Darkness to Light.
