The Living Water

Romans 8:28: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who has been called according to his purpose. God said all things work together for His good, but I did not immediately understand this when my trials conquered me. At 13, I was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome, an ailment which caused unbearable abdominal pains and frequent seizures. As a result of my illness, I was often discriminated against by the students and became a victim of school bullying. I was even asked to leave the school. I was hurting so much, but thankfully I have a supportive family whose love for me was unconditional. They never gave up on me. I visited several doctors seeking medical attention, but no one seemed to be able to help me and seeing my family sad because of what I was going through made me feel like my world was falling apart. I became a victim of depression and to contain those emotions, I began to write songs and poems. I used writing to express emotions when I couldn’t face my family. Thankfully, they never gave up on me and supported my dream of one day publishing a book. In 2010, I realized that dream and published my first book: "A Gentle Wind".

I completed school privately and following the success of this, I began studying Psychology. My passion for writing also continued. It was at this time, while I was still ill, that I found my help in Jesus. I was introduced to Him by several friends and relatives, but I was reluctant to accept Him at first. However, when my life's storms raged and I saw no other way out, I turned to Him and He provided spiritual, emotional and physical comfort I needed. Two years later, I was healed. God’s test for me has now become my testimony as I can stand and say that He brought me out of nothing and made me into the strong and confident individual I am today. He has not only 7 healed me, but has given me the power to forgive all those who laughed when I fell. He made me appreciate and understand life from His perspective and in every trial, I know that it will all work together for the benefit of His Will. Do not doubt that God is real. He is always present, even in our darkest moments. Nothing happens by chance. All of our life’s events are His plans for a purpose and reason. After I turned to Him, God worked in my life and where the doctors failed, He prevailed. He gave me a future that I thought I could never have. My fear and hurt was gone and I was free to live happily you trust and believe in God’s power, nothing will be impossible. Prayer can bring a breakthrough in life no matter the situation. There is no storm too powerful, no mountain too high or ocean too deep for God to overcome. Never give up on Him, He can defeat all enemies, heal all diseases, remove all hurt, forgive all sins, touch every life, give power to those who love Him and change lives. I am a living testimony. I would like to thank God for His continued blessing upon my life. He has made my life full of peace, joy, and laughter and He has given me the power to fight everything that is against me. I thank God for putting me in situations that allowed me to seek Him... I feel privileged that Almighty God is in my life. I would also like to thank my family and husband for their unconditional support and for never giving up on me even when I did. They are my motivation to push forward to my dreams. I would also like to thank everyone else who encouraged and supported me in making this dream a reality. God has blessed me with great persons in my life who never leave my side no matter the situation. I am blessed indeed!
