These three paperback booklets all date from about 1965 and all three feature the White House and Washington DC. The two publications by the White House Historical Association are extensive booklets - - one with 156 pages and one with 144 pages. The booklet ?The Living White House? is a stated first edition of 1966. This booklet is in at least very good condition with just a bit of modest damage to the lower spine where there is one, half-inch tear on one fold and a shorter tear on the opposite fold corner. Beyond that the paper wrappers do show one corner crease but the interior text pages are in at least near fine and probably better with no damage or wear showing - - and with the pages filled with a delighted array of early illustration?s - - and then black-and-white and color pictures all presenting the story of the White House. This book features an eight-page introduction by Bruce Catton. The booklet ?The White House: An Historic Guide? is in near fine condition with just a touch of handling wear to the card-stock covers and again the booklet is filled with wonderful period illustrations and later period photographs featuring the story of the White House, its furnishings, art work, and its occupants. This booklet is stated with a copyright ?1964 and 1966, 7th Edition.? The magazine ?Friends - November 1964? is the advertising periodical by Chevrolet Motor Company and is devoted to the city of Washington - - with articles and pictures giving an overview of the city, its historic sites, parkways, and even favorite recipes from the area. This magazine is in near fine condition with virtually no wear showing to its blue, white, and red-striped front cover and with two full-page and one two-page center-spread with vivid color photographs of the new 1965 Chevrolet models.
