Good condition hardcover with dust jacket, first edition. Dust jacket is heavily worn with significant scuffing, whitening/fading across the surface, creasing, edge wear, and tears with losses at the corners and spine ends. A partial label on the dust jacket spine is only partly legible. Boards appear intact beneath the dust jacket. A former owner's personal ownership stamp (an individual professor's name) is present on the front free endpaper, along with a small sticker remnant on the lower spine area of the cover. Interior pages are clean with no visible highlighting or writing, with general aging/toning consistent with a 1960s publication. A complete first edition copy.

Every book has a story — but it only means something when a child lives it. Why Papa Duck? I was "Uncle Duck" to my nieces and nephews for years — duck pictures fill my office, Mallards are my favorite. When my grandson arrived last year, the family asked what he'd call me.
