Logic Behind Basic Design And Coding Of Forms In Architecture

This book has two parts. The first part endeavors to show that there exists some Logic behind Architectural Composition. The Second part suggests a way in which most, if not all, architectural Forms can be expressed through Codes. It suggests that in case all sorts of forms can be identified through Codes, it would increase the number of types of forms now discussed in the teaching and profession of architecture.

Bijon B. Sarma, born on February 21, 1949 at Daulat Khan, Dist. Bhola, passed B.Arch. from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1977 and M.Arch. (Gold Medal) from BUET in 2004. Worked as Architect in private consulting firms in Bangladesh (1977-1982), as Architect in the Ministry of Works and Transport, Bauchi State, Nigeria (1982-1988), as teacher (Assistant professor, Associate Professor and Professor) in Architecture Discipline, Khulna University, Bangladesh and now working as Professor, Architect Department, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), Dhaka, Bangladesh.
