About the Author

Walter Clemow Lanyon was born in the United States in 1887 to British parents. He was educated in the United States, France, and England and spent more than half of his life traveling all over the world, investigating and studying the various presentations of Truth. He is the author of some thirty-three books on Truth, a novel, two librettos for light opera, and innumerable articles and write-ups on human interest. The simple manner in which Mr. Lanyon states the truth enables the reader to grasp the principle for himself and put it into practice without the sense of a personal teacher or organizational bondage. He traveled and lectured to capacity crowds all over the world, basing his lectures, as he said, “solely on the reve¬lation of Jesus Christ.” At one point, he underwent a profound spiritual awakening, in which he felt “plain dumb with the wonder of the revelation.” This enlightening experience “was enough to change everything in my life and open the doors of the heaven that Jesus spoke of as here and now.” “I know what it was. I lost my personality; it fell off of me like an old rag. It just wasn’t the same anymore.” His prolific writings continue to be sought out for their timeless message, put forth in a simple, direct manner, and they have much to offer serious spiritual seekers. Through years of proving the Word, he refined his presentation by eliminating the personal almost completely and leaving the pure revelation as simple and natural as possible.
