An uncommon facsimile of the explanation of Ogilby and Morgan's seventeenth century map of London. This work was intended as an accompaniment to a facsimile of John Ogilby and William Morgan's map of London published in 1677.Edited by Charles Welch F. S. A., the secretary to the London and Middlesex Archaeological Society, for whom this work was published. In the original paper wraps. Externally generally smart; wraps are chipped to the tail of the spine and the front board in particular, with a mark through 'London and Middlesex Archaeological Society'. Otherwise just a little general edgewear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with numerous unopened to the head. Good. Seller Inventory # 801R21
