Lone Star Regiments in Gray

Wooster thoroughly covers every Texas regiment (infantry, cavalry, and artillery) that served in the Confederate army during the Civil War; he generally discusses their experiences in narrative form at the brigade level. The narrative form is a nice touch; instead of a brief paragraph about a given regiment's service, we are instead treated to a mini-story about the brigade's entire service through the war.
