Our Long-Expected Gift: A Jesse Tree Advent

Our Long-Expected Gift is a Christmas Devotional based on the Jesse Tree Advent. There is a short story in poem form for each day in December. The stories are taken right out of the Bible, starting with creation in Genesis and ending with Jesus's birth in the New Testament. Each poem reflects how Jesus, our Long-Expected Gift, was God's plan from the very beginning. Many of the stories foreshadow Jesus's birth, and they also trace His heritage and redemptive plan throughout all of Scripture. This book is meant to help bring Jesus back into focus during the Christmas season. It is meant to give families a reason to stop, to sit, and to listen to God's Christmas story. Scripture, poems, and extraordinary watercolors are all wrapped up into this beautifully designed coffee table book, which makes it as pleasing to the eye as it is to the heart.
