For poets and painters, lovers and lunatics, the moon has been the awe-inspiring source and symbol of feminine power and profound mystery since ancient time. This unqiue and richly illustrated gift book is designed to be a cherished expression of love to be given during the full moon. With journal entry space in each of its thirteen sections, one can record musings, quiet observations, and passionate messages to be shared with friends and loved ones. The book includes paintings, photography, iconography from ancient lunar maps, children's art, as well as selections of poetry and prose from many diverse lands. A five-year lunar calendar, a list of suggested full moon gifts, and a compilation of moon-related information concludes this unusual gathering of lunar celebration.

Ellen Moore Anderson lives north of Duluth, Minnesota, where, for the past decade, she has given, received, and recorded full moon gifts. A former teacher of children with learning disabilities, she is the mother of seven children, an oil painter, and founder of the EMMA Fund for artists.
