Joseph Mack grows up in Cataract City, Ontario; runs liquor across the border during Prohibition; works illegally in the States; goes mining in Moreland Lake; gets filthy rich off some mining claims left to him by a dying man; loses it all; and goes to Sicily during the Second World War. All the while he keeps a BIG spot in his heart for the highschool girl across the street. 96 pages. Published in many editions but this one is UNCOMMON. Unillustrated. Cond : Stiff card wrapper is light green w/black lettering. Originally sold at one dollar. Red Double Flame emblem on cover. Heavily sun marked. Soiled lightly. Staples tight. Publisher's promotional blurb laid-in. No marks, names, tears, nor creases. Very collectible !! Quote (p. 18) : " I cleared an even grand on the first trip and learned many things. I learned no smart guy ever takes unnecessary chances when punks can be hired for the risky jobs. I learned to use bigger, slower boats, and make larger hauls. I learned ._._._. ." Size: 8vo.…
