The Long and the Short Short of It is a collection of 13 short stories that range from the surreal to the heart-wrenching.
Author Greg Fidgeon approaches his stories with a basic idea and a clear mind, allowing the plot and characters to develop on instinct. It can lead to some very dark places and some very absurd ones too - and occasionally a bit of both. Themes include death, bullying, heroes, spiders, love, fatherhood and Paul Daniels.

Greg Fidgeon is a journalist, editor and writer from Leigh-on-Sea, Essex. He has been writing fiction for almost 20 years. The Long and the Short Short of It is a collection of his work from over that period and is his first published book. Greg - who is married with two sons - is now working on his first novel, which is due to be published in late 2017.
