Add to basketIn the adroitly composed novel, the Longview, Howard's second book, we are drawn backwards through the life of Antonia Fleming from 1950 to 1926 where we find her as a young girl about to be bullied into being the perfect wife. The voice of her husband, Conrad, is so conceited and selfish readers today can hardly credit Antonio could've taken him seriously. Howard had a turbulent personal life and has never really came to the attention she deserved. Picador republishing The Long View. The Jacket of this particular copy shows a little wear. The hard cover is in perfect condition with the guilt nice and bright on the spine pages are clean the endpapers bright. There is a small tear and a small patch of damage to the bottom of pages 250 to 251.
