The Longest Rope Has an End

In this visceral contemporary thriller, Cali Hasting is a sixteen year old Honor Roll student-athlete whose life quickly spirals out of control after she suffers a knee injury and her pain medication is mismanaged. Although a fictional story, THE LONGEST ROPE HAS AN END is told by two front-line professionals (Baltimore City Police Detective and a critical care nurse) who have used real life experiences to create a story every parent should insist their teens read. Cali's story should be the catalyst for open and honest discussions about the very real threat our children face every day. Illicit drugs.

Desperate for opioids, Cali's story takes the reader from the comforts of her wealthy Georgian home to the terrifying underbelly of Baltimore City where Marilyn makes the catastrophic mistake of introducing the teen to someone from her past, the vile Skeeter Shiflett. Living a life of poverty, it is soon apparent Skeeter will stop at nothing to get his share of the Hasting's money, putting everyone in peril.
