Likely First Edition. 1894 on title page with no other dates. The book is bound in beige cloth with title and author on the front cover. Covers have soiling. The corners are lightly rolled and bumped; spine caps bumped with some fraying. The binding is firm. There are notations and marginalia in pencil throughout the book and the text and musical exercises are generally clear and unmarked. Pages 49-62 have been creased and are lightly soiled on the top corners.name of previous owner neatly penned on the ffe.

Friends of the Curtis Memorial Library, based in Brunswick, Maine is a non-profit corporation that exists solely to assist the Curtis Memorial Library in its many activities, principally through fundraising by the sale of used books. Operating through a retail outlet located at 200 Maine St. in Brunswick and through its on-line sales activities, Curtis Friends operates only with volunteers from the local community and sells only those books donated by its constituents. Curtis Friends has been in existence for several decades.
