From the Everglades of Florida to the jungles of Central Africa, observers look at two almost identical facing scenes and must find 12 ways in which they differ. A key is provided, along with a numbered guide that identifies and briefly describes the animals and plants in each painting. Wilson's illustrations are the focus here; her realistic, full-color drawings bear a great resemblance to Graeme Base's style in The Eleventh Hour (Abrams, 1990). Each detailed page contains a center picture surrounded by smaller triangular designs. Although some of the differences between the pictures are subtle, children of the `` Waldo'' generation should be able to find them.
