Powers was an American actor and, most notably, founder of the New York City-based modeling agency in 1923, The John Robert Powers Modeling Agency, the first of its kind anywhere, providing, among many others, Grace Kelly's start. Cover photo by Look photography legend Frank Bauman. Numerous articles and collectible ads, many full page in color. Automobiles (a beautiful Nash ad), films, fountain pens, etc. Of specific note is a full-page color ad for Walt Disney's Song of the South, later banned, and a full page list of 750 Haldeman-Julius Little Blue Book titles.
