Looped

"Looped" is Timothy Skillman's memoir that follows a father, husband and successful business consultant as he stumbles then falls into a midlife crisis. In search of what we all crave; answers, purpose, adventure, or a memorable death, Tim walked away from an idyllic life; quit his high-power crisis management partnership and left his home with no plans to return, ever. Aboard an exquisite 53-foot sailboat he headed offshore and over the horizon in pursuit of a childhood dream-purple islands rising from a blue-green sea ahead.

The story focuses on a year-long, eight-thousand-mile wild adventure from the Great Lakes, down the Mississippi River to the Eastern Caribbean and back through New York City and the Erie Canal, completing the loop. In route, pirates, sharks, storms, debauchery and finally, a soul mate, fed his lust for adventure and his need for true peace.
