9" x 5 3/4", 423 + 352 + 440 pages, folding map at end of each volume, extensive appendices and index at end of volume 3. A nice, consistent set, all dw's price-clipped, pencilled price on front free endpaper of volume 1, no other inscriptions. Light edge-wear to dw's and boards, but generally a well-kept set, having been on the same shelf for some thirty+ years. A couple of contemporary newspaper cuttings of Professor Tolkien's obituary loosely inserted to one volume. NB - since there are three volumes, there may be a request for additional postage, based on actual cost to us.
