Color of gilt and top edge is orange for The Fellowship of the Ring, Red for The Two Towers, and purple for The Return of the King. Black faux leather slipcase with a red name plate. All volumes have light rubbing and toning, sunning to the spines, Some wear to the gilt lettering on the spine, a "Frodo Lives" stamp to the ffep with a previous owner's name below, and light notations in pencil throughout that are quite insightful.
