The Lord of the Rings Trilogy(Early Book Club Edition Trilogy)

The books are bound in black cloth spines over paper boards with the Eye of Sauron on the front covers in gilt and titles in gilt on the spines. The Fellowship of the Ring (1982)is in good condition with dust dulling on the fore-edges. The hinges are cracked a the half title page, but the text block is firm. Brief gift inscription on the paste-downs. Otherwise, pages are clean and unmarked. The dust jacket is in fair condition with tears, chipping and missing paper on the top edges. Now in a clear crystal cover. The Two Towers(1982) is in near fine condition with sprinkling of foxing on the top edges. The pages are clean, tight and unmarked. The dust jacket for this volume is in fine condition. The Return of the King(1983) is in good condition with the front hinge cracking for 3" up from the bottom edge at the half title page and sprinkling of foxing on the edges. The dust jacket for this volume is in very good condition with a small chip of paper missing on the bottom edge of the front panel. Please see all images. .
