About this Item

A Near Fine vintage hardcover set of the Trilogy, ca. 1965, in original jackets and slipcase. The Fourth printing (stated of 'Fellowship of the Ring', and the Third printings of 'Two Towers' and 'Return of the King', of the Second Revised editions (ca. 1965). Book club edition. Hardcovers in original black cloth and original jackets. Cloth bindings are unfaded with no wear; the jackets are intact with the only real flaw a short (3/8 inch) closed tear to the bottom of the spine on 'Return of the King', and some very slight hints of fading to spines. Folding maps present, and crisp. The publisher's slipcase has light wear and a slight musty smell.
