Tolkien, J. R. R. THE LORD OF THE RINGS (SET OF THREE) London, England: The Folio Society 2002 NF/Good 8vo. Maroon slip case shows light shelf wear, including soiling, discoloration on spine and top, and bumping at extremities. Inside has some small stains. Spine on book 1 is lightly soiled and faded with minimal bumping at the head. Textblock edges are lightly stained and binding is strong. Pages are square. Spine on book 2 is lightly faded and has minimal soiling. Textblock edges are lightly stained and the binding is strong. Spine on book 3 is lightly faded and slightly marred, as is the illustration on the front cover. Textblock edges are lightly soiled and binding is tight. With gorgeous green covers showcasing gilt detailing and maps on the end papers, this box set is an excellent find and would make a great addition to any Tolkien lovers shelf.
