ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Drew S. Logan, B.S. Computer and Information Science
Drew grew up in Newark, Ohio, where he learned the value of a good work ethic by the age of 10. He was accepted into the United States Air Force Academy, but realized this was not his path and resigned. He paid his own way through college, and was graduated from Ohio State University, Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Computer and Information Science.
He moved to Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of twenty-two and rose to the rank of Vice-President at Fifth Third Bank. His good attitude, loyalty and understanding of money enabled him to retire at the age of 41.
Drew’s career in banking included acting as consultant to over one hundred Fortune 500 companies. He was a sought after speaker, able to speak on all manner of subjects interesting to corporations seeking to improve their bottom line.
Drew’s current interests include writing, obtaining his private pilot’s license, martial arts, reading, snow skiing and auto racing (both watching and driving).
Drew still lives in Cincinnati, Ohio, with his cat, Samantha, where he freelances as a teacher, personal financial consultant, volunteer for non-profit organizations and reads to the blind.
Vivien Schapera, M.A. Psychology, MSTAT
A born teacher, Vivien uses her many qualifications to work in private practice as an Alexander teacher and Energy Healer. She has founded two schools – Alexander Technique of Cincinnati (1993) which trains Alexander teachers and FourWinds Academy for the Healing Arts and Sciences (1999), which provides personal growth courses to the public and trains healers.
Vivien has published several articles, essays and books, including Everyday Magic (2003) and How to Establish and Maintain a Strong Client Base (Revised and Expanded 2004). Because of her unique expertise and entertaining public speaking skills, she frequently is interviewed for newspaper, magazine, radio and television.
Vivien grew up in South Africa and also has lived in Israel and England. Currently living in Cincinnati, Ohio with her husband and two teenage sons. She has insight into many cross-cultural and universal aspects of both weight and money issues. Vivien combines her strong voice on profound issues with an insightful sense of humor, enabling her to reach out and touch the lives of her students, readers, and listeners.
