Lost Love

In a world divided by time, heritage, and untold secrets, Love Lost plunges readers into a gripping tale of forbidden love, inherited duty, and the relentless pursuit of identity.
Spanning across centuries—from the humid wilderness of colonial Florida in 1756 to the modern-day heartbeat of Saint Paul—this richly woven narrative intertwines the lives of James McGready and Jean Blackstone, a young white landowner’s son and an enslaved African girl, with that of Sebastian Cupertino, a retired Army combat veteran struggling to rebuild his life, legacy, and faith.
James, bound by blood to the secretive Knights Templar and groomed to one day uphold their ancient mission, finds his world upended when he falls for Jean, a girl he was never meant to love. Hidden treehouses, midnight rendezvous, and a desperate escape plan become their reality. But in a world where allegiance means survival, their love may come at the ultimate cost.
Two and a half centuries later, Sebastian stands at the edge of a personal renaissance. Haunted by war, betrayal, and addiction, he seeks redemption in new home on a patch of land steeped in forgotten history. As he begins to piece together a new existence—surrounded by quirky friends, challenging moral choices, and a complicated love life—Sebastian unwittingly uncovers echoes of the past that mirror his own inner battles.
Love Lost is not just a story of romance; it’s a meditation on human complexity, moral ambiguity, and the enduring weight of legacy. Through characters that leap off the page with raw honesty, Love Lost explores themes of generational trauma, spiritual awakening, and the blurry lines between right and wrong. Readers will encounter brave sacrifices, forbidden passions, and quiet moments of grace that challenge how we see history—and ourselves.
