"They say that we have only one life, and that’s the life we currently live. They say that everything in this life is a matter of our choice! And if that’s true, why not choose to live it powerfully? Why not choose to give up resentment for those relationships that didn’t work the way we hoped they would, for those people who didn’t show us the kindness that we showed them? Why not choose to forgive and let the past go, so we can live in the present, with a full heart?This book is addressed to anyone who is struggling, anyone who has been hurt, anyone who is searching for peace of mind, and for a different perspective. It is a collection of poems about the turmoil of love, about acceptance, power, forgiveness and letting go. It is a point of view… my point of view, and hopefully, my contribution to the world. As someone who experienced the helplessness of seeing her parent die a little every day in front of her eyes, someone who saw that sometimes, as much as you try, you just can’t save a person, or make them change, it is my opinion that letting go, accepting things as they are, honoring people for who they are, with their good and bad, forgiving them and ourselves… is important… and maybe the only way to help.This book is dedicated to my family."
