About the Author

Aaron Barker, born and raised in San Antonio, began his career in a "variety band" at the awkward age of 13. He began experimenting with original melodies and lyrics, and his first attempt, "Baby Blue," was recorded by George Strait and went to #1 on the Billboard charts.

He has penned many number one songs, including "Love Without End, Amen," which have been recorded by such stars as George Strait, Clay Walker, Neal McCoy, Aaron Tippin, and Lonestar.

George Strait was named Entertainer of the Year and Impact Artist of the Year at the CMT/TNN Country Music Awards in June 2001. In his incredibly successful career, he has logged 40 #1 hits, received 25 Platinum albums and collected more than 50 CMA nominations, a record that stands alone and unchallenged.
