Dan Beaver earned a B.A. in psychology at the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.S. in counseling psychology at California State University, East Bay. In addition, he received specialized training in Masters and Johnson-style sex therapy. A licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Professor Beaver is currently an instructor at Los Medanos College in Pittsburgh, California, where he teaches the psychology of human sexuality. He has been in private practice since 1973 providing individual and couple therapy in Walnut Creek, California. Professor Beaver has regular engagements as a speaker on topics related to human sexuality.
