Love is Lemon Bars (Rara's Sweet Life Lessons)

Love is Lemon Bars

By Jaime Haines

Get ready to stir up some sweetness with Love is Lemon Bars, the first book in the RaRa's Sweet Lessons series - a heartwarming, laughter-sprinkled tale about how love is something we make, bake, and share.

Meet RaRa, a spunky, apron-wearing grandma in cozy Wisconsin who believes love is best served warm and a little zesty. With her two granddaughters, Sunshine and Sassafras-RaRa, she whips up a batch of her famous lemon bars and teaches the girls that love isn't just a feeling, it's something you do. Whether it's helping a neighbor, waiting patiently by the oven, or sharing your favorite treat, love takes time, care, and a dash of kindness.

Perfect for ages 3-8, this sweet-as-sugar picture book blends storytelling with values like compassion, community, and connection. With playful dialogue, charming illustrations, and a real lemon bar recipe at the end, Love is Lemon Bars invites families to bake and bond-one delicious moment at a time.

Themes: love, kindness, family traditions, emotional intelligence, intergenerational connection
