Love and Lesser Demons

They never tell you that love is a haunting.

It slips through cracks in your defenses, settles beneath your skin, and whispers its way into every thought. It changes the way you speak, the way you dream, the way you see yourself in the mirror. By the time you realize something has taken hold, it's already become part of you.

Love and Lesser Demons is a collection of poetry that explores the unsettling similarities between devotion and possession, desire and obsession, surrender and transformation. Through aching vulnerability and moments of unexpected tenderness, these poems trace the many stages of being overtaken by another person—from the first spark of fascination to the lingering ghosts left behind when they are gone.
