Love Your Naked Self (Paperback)

Paperback. Love Your Naked Self is B. F. Nkrumah's apology to Black women. In this book he explores the images, ideas, practices, standards, stereotypes, expectations and intentional degradation that leads some Black Women to a place where they don't love their Naked Selves: in particular, the ones forced on them by Black Men. He believes many Black Women lack self love because of the negative seeds sown into their minds from Black Men, so this book is the uprooting of those negative seeds and the planting of positive seeds in order to grow a tree of positive thoughts in the minds of all Black Women. Not only does he address and expose deeper psychological reasons as to why some beliefs are held, he also has exercises after each chapter to actually help Women work through the issues may have developed and fully love their Naked Selves. If you are a Woman or you young Woman who has dealt with being flooded with ideas of a negative self-image, this is the book for you.
