He’s a nerdy music professor with a penchant for making women beg for more.
She’s a fire-in-her-veins softball coach who willingly submits to him.

Devoted teacher and musician, Alexander Makris is creating the life he wants. Things couldn’t be more perfect between teaching, going to school for his doctorate, and hooking up with his roommate (who is also one of his best friends). One problem … he catches feelings and she doesn’t. The breakup is inevitable and as Alex heals his broken heart in the Outer Banks, he meets someone who breathes fresh life into him. New problem? She lives on the West Coast.

Wren Leary is a successful college softball coach and physical therapist living in southern California. On the surface, everything is fantastic. Underneath, though, she’s yearning for a change. A different college, a different state, and finding the biological father she didn’t even know existed until there was a family medical emergency. Before she uproots her entire life, she jumps on a plane to her cousin’s beach house for a week to decompress, unaware of what’s waiting for her across the country.

What starts as a long-distance friendship turns into Alex and Wren discovering they have more in common than just running from their problems.
